PA to the Bursar Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Managing the Bursar's diary, organising meetings and preparing agendas to keep everything on track and efficient
  • Acting as the first point of contact for staff, parents, governors, and external partners, representing the school professionally and courteously
  • Supporting teams across finance, marketing, admissions, and HR to facilitate seamless internal and external communication
  • Handling confidential information with tact and discretion, ensuring data security and compliance
  • Assisting with stakeholder liaison, including booking travel, processing correspondence, and coordinating events
  • Providing general administrative tasks to support the Bursar's office, contributing to the organisation's overall effectiveness

PA to the Bursar Experience Essentials

  • Significant senior secretarial, PA or EA administrative experience within complex organisations
  • Proven experience managing senior executives' diaries and organising meetings
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel; familiarity with Board IQ system is advantageous
  • High school or equivalent qualification; attention to detail and organisational prowess are essential
  • Experience working in an educational or similarly structured environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to work proactively, juggle multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism under pressure

Location

Based in East Oxfordshire, the role is fully office-based. The site is well connected by public transport, with parking available. Flexibility to accommodate occasional travel or early/late meetings may arise as part of the role.
