What did you do before setting up Allen Associates with Kate?

I spent 18 years as an officer in the Royal Marines.

How would you describe your role.

I handle the numbers!  From creating the annual budget to raising invoices and paying bills and wages, I also make sure that the business remains on track and focused on its strategic aims.

What do you think you bring to client and candidate relationships?

Hopefully an ability to see things from their perspective.  We are no different to many of our clients in understanding that recruiting people is a great responsibility for the company, the individual and our own staff.

What do you think makes Allen Associates special or a great place to work?

We can feel completely satisfied that we do our utmost to ensure that we match people and organisations on the basis of professionalism rather than profit.  Of course we want to make great sales, but not at the expense of doing the right thing.

Tell us something about yourself.

I played rugby for the Royal Navy at Twickenham. With those days now long gone, I like to spend hours on my road bike.
