FAQs

Please browse through our FAQs below and contact us if you need any further assistance. If you have a question about temporary work, please take a look at our Temping FAQs.

What areas do you specialise in?

We specialise in permanent and temporary roles at all levels in PA and Administration, Marketing, HR and Finance.

Do you need a minimum amount of experience to apply for these roles?

Every role is different but even our entry level vacancies tend to require some relevant work experience.

What roles are you currently recruiting for?

We have an interesting range of permanent and temporary vacancies across all of our specialist areas. Please visit our Latest Jobs to see what we have available. Please also keep an eye on our social media channels and visit our website regularly to keep an eye on our latest vacancies as new ones are posted regularly.

How do I apply for roles?

Please visit our Latest Jobs and apply for relevant roles by uploading your CV and completing the application form provided.  One of our consultants will get back to you promptly.

How will you assess my application for roles?

All of our consultants are REC qualified and have many years’ experience in matching candidates to roles and organisations.  We will carefully review your CV against the criteria outlined by our clients, including the verbal or written brief they have given to us, along with the job description and the person specification, before letting you know whether you may be a good fit.

What happens if my application is unsuccessful?

Please keep trying. We advertise for new vacancies on a regular basis so if you keep an eye on all the major online job boards, our social media channels and our website, you will see when new roles become available.

Will I need to apply for roles I see on your website if I am already registered with Allen Associates?

No, there is no need to contact us for roles you see advertised on our website as we will contact you about these if we think you are a good match. Please rest assured that if you are registered with us, you will automatically be assessed against each new vacancy as it arises.  If we don't get in touch, it may be because there are specific criteria that the client has given us that we are evaluating against, and which may not be apparent in the job advert. Please don’t worry – you will not be overlooked!

Should I register with you even if you don't have any current roles I am interested in?

Please contact us if you are actively looking for a new role in PA and Administration, HR, Marketing or Finance in Oxfordshire. We will get back to you to let you know whether we think we are likely to be able to help.

Will I be interviewed by Allen Associates as part of the registration process?

Yes, we conduct a video interview with every candidate that we register. This enables us to get to know a bit more about you and what you are looking for in your next role – personally as well as professionally – and ultimately to find your ideal role.

Should I keep you updated of any changes to my circumstances?

Yes! Please contact us to tell us about any changes to your circumstances so that we can update our records and provide you with the best possible service. It's particularly important to let us know immediately if you change your phone number or email address, have received another job offer, are considering another position or are no longer looking for a new role.

What do I need to do if I want to speak to a recruitment consultant?

If you are already registered with us, please email your designated consultant in the first instance and they will call or email you back as quickly as they can. If you are new to us, please contact us and one of our consultants will get in touch.
