In training for the OX5 RUN with Charlie Clark and Katie Jaggers
The Allen Associates team is looking forward to the OX5 RUN 2022 with everyone doing their bit to get fit and raise money for Oxford Children's Hospital. We shone a spotlight on two of our recruitment consultants, Charlie Clark and Katie Jaggers, and asked them what they're doing to prepare for Oxfordshire's best loved fun run through the grounds of Blenheim Palace on the 20th March – and how they are planning to get up those legendary hills!

Q: Who are you bringing along to join the Allen Associates team as they tackle the OX5 RUN?
Charlie: My partner Callum will be joining me and my two young boys will be cheering me on at the finish line.
Katie: I'll be dragging along my partner Josh!
Q: How are you feeling about the five mile course? The hills are legendary!
Charlie: This is definitely not within my comfort zone as my only form of exercise is usually running around after the kids! Having said that, I am looking forward to it and hope to get round with a combination of running and walking.
Katie: I have to admit that I'm not a huge exercise fan but I am reasonably active, so I should be able to manage it by running a bit and walking a lot! I'm expecting it to be a challenge!
Q: Have you done much to prepare for the fun run?
Charlie: My partner Callum and I have been on a few walks with the kids which I hope will be enough. I will just go for it and hope for the best!
Katie: I haven't done a huge amount but I am doing a few long uphill treadmill walks which will hopefully help to prepare me for those hills. I also did a long beach walk with my sister.
Q: Why did you decide to take part in the OX5 RUN 2022?
Charlie: It’s for an excellent cause and I wanted to do something fun with my team. I hear it's a really good day out!
Katie: Mostly because it is for such a good cause – but also because it's lots of fun and something that I love doing with the team at Allen Associates.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the OX5 RUN which is as much about remembering the young patients and families that have been closely involved with the hospital as it is about bringing people together for a fun day out in aid of Oxford Children's Hospital.
