Sixth Form Admissions Officer Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

Managing the 16+ and 14+ admissions process from initial enquiry to pupil enrolment, ensuring a positive and professional experience for families.

Organising and supporting termly experience and familiarisation events to engage prospective students and showcase the school's vibrant community.

Collaborating closely with the Registrar, Deputy Registrar, and wider Registry team to meet targets and deliver excellent service.

Maintaining accurate data on admissions, ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding standards.

Responding promptly to enquiries via phone, email, and in person with a confident, courteous approach.

Assisting with the administration of admissions documentation, including application forms and interviews.

Contributing to a welcoming environment, representing the school to visiting families and at events with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Sixth Form Admissions Officer Experience Essentials

Educated to A-level or equivalent; a degree or relevant qualifications such as AMCIS admissions training are highly desirable.

Proven experience in a senior administrative or customer-facing role, ideally within the education sector.

Strong knowledge of GDPR, safeguarding policies, and the independent schools' admissions process.

Excellent IT skills, including experience with databases (preferably iSAMS) and MS Office.

Outstanding communication skills, with a professional and empathetic manner both verbally and in writing.

Organised and resilient, capable of managing multiple priorities and adapting swiftly to changing demands.

Experience in managing events, open days, or customer engagement activities is highly advantageous.

Location

Based in South Oxfordshire, the role is fully office-based at a beautiful campus. The location offers good transport links and free on-site parking. There is a requirements to work 3 Saturday mornings a term and occasional evening work for open days and events.
