Temporary Part-Time Payroll Supervisor

We have registered a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our friendly and collaborative client in this vital role.
You will take the lead on payroll delivery, including reconciliation of totals, third parties, pension compensation/deficiency and associated payments, and assist with the year-end payroll processing.
This role is offered on a part-time basis of 3 days per week, working hours are 8:30am - 5pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
This is an office-based role initially, however upon completion of training there is an option to work on a hybrid basis.
Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Part-Time Payroll Supervisor Responsibilities
Whilst this role will be working up to bureau the payroll is extremely large, so it will be essential that you have experience of the below duties.
- Taking the lead on the monthly payroll including pension contributions; payroll related loans; salary sacrifice etc
- Communicate payroll deadlines
- Posting the monthly payroll and reconciliation of all payroll control accounts
- Act as the first point of contact for all payroll related queries
- Administering any payroll changes such as SSP or SMP and rectifying any errors
- Assisting with the production of management and year end accounts
- Working with the HR team to support relevant new starter and leaver processes
- Providing ad hoc support to the HR and Payroll team, as required

To be successful in this role, you will be solutions focused, personable and have a can-do attitude.
You will demonstrate extensive experience in a similar payroll role including strong knowledge of payroll solutions. You will be able to hit the ground running with all elements of payroll processing including SSP, SMP, SPP, pension contributions, loans/ salary sacrifice schemes etc.
