This is a newly created development role, responsible for delivering a comprehensive and effective strategy, across all aspects of the fundraising activity.

Head of Development Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Tasked with championing and delivering the strategy, increasing major gifts from individuals, corporates and trusts and foundations.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with donors, prospects and key stakeholders.
  • Manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects, researching and preparing bespoke proposals.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising performance, providing regular updates to the Director of Development.
  • Attend regular networking events and attend onsite visits to meet with prospects and donors.

Head of Development Essentials

  • The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser of major gifts donations.
  • You will have excellent networking, relationship building and presenting skills.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • A fantastic team player and able to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible and proactive in your approach to work
  • Strong IT and database skills.
  • You must be prepared to work out of hours and to undertake travel as required. 

Location

This is a full-time hybrid-working role in Oxford, with onsite parking available and excellent transport links. A relocation allowance will be considered.
