Fundraising Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, close-knit team that plays a pivotal role within fundraising and relationship building. You will be the first point of contact for supporters engaging via phone, email and through various fundraising platforms.

 

Fundraising Assistant Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact over the phone, by email or in person, by handling queries promptly and effectively.
  • Process fundraising income daily as agreed with the Fundraising Manager.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records through our database.
  • Tailor thank you letters to donors once donations have been received.
  • Provide support for the wider fundraising team particularly around events, processing and acknowledging sponsorship money.
  • Collaborate across departments.

Fundraising Assistant Essentials

  • You will be a strong administrator with high attention to detail.
  • A proficient user of MS Office databases.
  • You will have excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build long-lasting relationships.
  • The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer care and excited to encourage supporters achieve their personal fundraising goals.
  • You will thrive within a busy team in a varied role.
  • You will be confident working in a sensitive environment, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience within the charity sector is desirable.

 

Location

Based in Oxford, this is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working available (2 days in the office) and free onsite parking.
